In the second quarter of 2024, the fitness and weight loss category continued to engage users on a unified platform. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at the performance of the top five applications in this sector within the US.

komoot - hike, bike & run witnessed a fluctuating revenue trend, starting at $38K in the first week of April and peaking at $48K towards the end of May. Downloads for komoot showed a similar pattern, with early April seeing over 6K downloads and a slight increase towards the end of June. Weekly active users began at 50K and peaked at over 50K in early May, with a steady trend through June.

YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet showed consistent revenue generation, starting at $36K and reaching a peak of $43K in early June. Downloads hovered around 3K to 3.4K weekly, with a spike to over 4K in the first week of June. Active user count remained robust, starting at 97K and reaching over 106K in early June.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike saw its revenue beginning at $15K and rising to $25K in early June. Downloads experienced a significant surge mid-April, with over 5K downloads, before stabilizing around 2K towards the end of June. Active users showed a slight increase from 26K to over 27K in the same period.

Garmin Connect™ did not generate revenue but maintained a steady download rate, starting at 2.3K and reaching over 3K in early June. The application's weekly active users were impressive, with figures starting at 215K and climbing to 218K by the end of June.

Lastly, bergfex: hiking & tracking showed revenue starting at $16K and peaking at around $23K in early June. Downloads for bergfex saw an upward trend, starting at 2.2K and rising to over 3K. Active users grew modestly from 5.4K to over 6.2K in the final week of June.
